Sacred Geometry Art: Exploring the Power of Symbols and Shapes

What is Sacred Geometry Art?

Sacred geometry art is a form of art based on the principles of sacred geometry, with its roots in the study of nature, and the mathematical principles at work therein. Sacred geometry art uses shapes, fractals, reoccurring patterns, and ratios, to create beautiful, harmonious and meaningful pieces that can have a powerful effect on the viewer. These pieces can be found in a variety of forms, including paintings, sculptures, jewellery, and even tattoos. Sacred geometry art often features symbols such as the Flower of Life, the Seed of Life, and Metatron’s Cube.

Sacred Geometry For Well-Being

Sacred geometry art creates balance and can harmonise energy. The shapes and patterns that are used in sacred geometry are believed to be the building blocks of the universe, and they can have a profound effect on our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

For example, the Flower of Life, also known as the symbol of creation (and my personal favourite) is believed to be a powerful healing tool. This symbol is made up of overlapping circles that are arranged in a hexagonal pattern. The circles are of equal size and overlap to create a flower-like pattern. It is believed to be a blueprint for all life, and is said to represent the interconnectedness of all things and the underlying structure of the universe. While the flower of life appears as female energy, it actually holds both divine male and divine female energy. The points where the overlapping circles intersect are made up of male energy, while the curves are female energy. By meditating on this symbol or having it in your home or office, you can promote balance in your life and create a space that feels sacred and harmonious.

I personally like to meditate and drink ceremonial cacao in front of my flower of life painting. Not only is it beautifully to gaze upon, it is also spiritually uplifting and fills the room with a balanced, peaceful energy. I sometimes visualise the Flower of Life symbol in my mind’s eye during meditation and allow its energy to fill me with a sense of calm and connection to something greater than myself. I also wake up to a framed Flower of Life every morning!

Other documented benefits of sacred geometry art include:

– Increased focus and concentration, especially when used as a focal point during meditation or visualisation – it may be helpful to have one in the office!

– Enhanced creativity, as the intricate patterns and shapes can inspire creativity and imagination, making it a great tool for artists and creatives.

– Enhanced spiritual growth, by exploring the deeper meanings and spiritual significance of sacred geometry, we can deepen our understanding of nature, and the world around us.

Exploring Sacred Geometry for Yourself

If you are interested in exploring the world of sacred geometry, there are many ways to get started. You could begin by researching some of the well-known symbols, such as the Flower of Life, Seed of Life, and Metatron’s Cube. There are many books and online resources if you’d like to dive deeper – people have dedicated their entire lives and careers to the study of sacred geometry and there is still so much waiting to be discovered!

You could look for sacred geometry in nature; the hexagonal cells in a honeycomb that fit together like a puzzle; the symmetry and balance of butterfly wings that feature intricate patterns and designs; the swirling patterns of a seashell spiralling inward to a central point; and the scales of a pinecone arranged in a perfect spiral that create a sense of order and balance… to name just a few!

Sacred geometry is not limited to visual arts. It can also be found in music, architecture, and natural forms such as crystals and plants. The patterns found in these forms are often based on sacred geometry principles and have a similar effect on our well-being, there are many areas to explore!

You can also incorporate these symbols into your life in a variety of ways. You could wear jewellery with sacred geometry, frame photographs and hang art pieces in your home that incorporate these shapes and patterns, or even create your own art using sacred geometry as inspiration!

In conclusion, sacred geometry art can have a profound effect on our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. By incorporating sacred geometry into our homes and daily practices, these sacred symbols can promote balance and harmony, help to reduce stress and anxiety, and help us to feel more connected to the universe and to our own inner selves. So why not explore the world of sacred geometry for yourself and see how it can enhance your life?
